在Linux内核2.4.22到2.4.33.4以及2.6.2之前的2.6.18.6和2.6.19.x中，蓝牙驱动程序(net/bluetooth/cmtp/capi.c)中的cmtp_recv_interopmsg函数存在多次缓冲溢出，这使得远程攻击者能够通过发送具有大值的(1)manu(Manufacturer)或(2)serial( serial number)字段的CAPI消息来实现拒绝服务(崩溃)并执行任意代码。
